- FIRST, students will review different transition words and phrases to use when writing.
- SECOND, students will write an extended response comparing Poe's life and his writing.

- FIRST, students will review the different transition words and phrases again for comprehension and clarity.
- SECOND, students will continue their extended response on Poe's life versus his writing.
- If students finish early, students will start to create an "Ugly Sweater" for a character in one of the stories we have read thus far or a character from your favorite book/film.
